At the recent TRSMBA-SHFA meeting a commitment was made by SHFA keep rents in the 2012/13 contracts at the current level. At the request of the association, SHFA has undertaken a new independent rental assessment which will be reviewed to determine 2013/14 rents. The association has submitted a paper to SHFA requesting a rental reduction.
The 2012/13 contracts are in the process of being delivered to stallholders. Please review your contract carefully and submit the signed contract back to SHFA as per the information sheet attached to your contract. The new stallholder manual is nearing completion and will be made available on the SHFA login site as soon as it is finished.
A list of stallholder’s suggestions for the Market’s 21st Birthday celebrations has been passed to SHFA, along with a proposal for roving entertainment in the market place every weekend through a performing arts school scholarship scheme. This proposal is now with SHFA, and we look forward to hopefully seeing its implementation soon.
